Kotonomama Hachimangu
(Shinto shrine)

Kotonomama Hachimangu is a shrine that is said to have been built about 1,800 years ago. It enshrines a god who connects humans and the earth. It is popular as a shrine which grants your wish exactly as you wished it.

There is a 31 meter tall camphor tree which will catch your gaze on the shrine grounds, which are rich with foliage. Try touching the tree to feel its power.

Hike up the mountain on the other side of the road for about 5 minutes and you will see the main shrine. It is believed that you can receive blessings if you rub the three round stones around the shrine for the sake of the gods, for other people, and for yourself.
